Customer Service Senior Associate - Patient Financial Services

Job Summary
Resolve patient concerns and promote satisfaction by collaborating with patients, guarantors, and third-party payers to address care, billing, and payment inquiries. Maintain excellent communications and serve as a patient advocate while building strong relationships across departments, external agencies, and the patient base. Adhere to policies and regulations to exceed productivity and quality benchmarks within a fast-paced environment. Work Monday through Friday with a 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. training period followed by a 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. regular schedule, with potential remote work after six months.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of higher education with coursework in a relevant field such as business, healthcare, or a related discipline, OR equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant professional setting
- Ability to interact with customers over the telephone and face to face
- Knowledge of patient billing process
- Ability to research and problem solve
- Analytical, organizational, team, project management, and self-directing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse customer base
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, databases, and payer applications
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute with 95% accuracy
- Highly developed knowledge of hospital and/or professional revenue cycle processes
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in business administration or related field
- Knowledge of collection laws, liens, and bankruptcies
- Membership in hospital or professional revenue cycle organization
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding
