Job Summary
Public Storage is seeking a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to provide front-line customer service and sales support across multiple properties. Responsibilities include assessing storage needs and upselling packing/moving supplies, auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits, handling payments reminders and collections calls, and performing daily unit inspections to ensure availability. The role requires traveling between properties using own vehicle (mileage reimbursement available), lifting up to 35 pounds, and working in indoor/outdoor environments with some outdoor time. Candidates should come from customer-service driven sales backgrounds (retail, restaurant, fast food, or service industries) and hold a valid driver’s license. The position is full-time with a flexible schedule between 9:30am and 6pm, weekends until 5pm, and includes benefits such as medical/dental/vision, 401k with match, PTO, sick time, and a flexible spending account.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in customer service or sales environments
- Ability to transport items weighing up to 35 pounds
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties
- Walk and perform tasks outdoors and indoors (up to 50% outdoor)
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform cash handling and banking tasks
- Customer needs assessment and upselling skills
