Job Summary
Public Storage seeks a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to work across multiple properties, assessing customer storage needs, selling packing/moving supplies, and performing daily inspections and cash-handling duties. The role involves driving between properties, auditing cash drawers, making bank deposits, processing payments/reminders, and maintaining exterior curb appeal. The position emphasizes independent work across locations, a flexible full-time schedule (9:30am–6pm, weekends until 5pm), and benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401k with match, PTO, sick time, and mileage reimbursement. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, be able to lift up to 35 pounds, and work up to 50% of time outdoors. Required Qualifications
- Experience in customer service-oriented sales environments (retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based industries)
- Valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle to travel between properties
- Ability to transport items up to 35 pounds
- Comfort with outdoor work and walking around facilities (up to ~50% of time)
- Analytical and cash-handling skills (auditing cash drawers, bank deposits)
- Ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks and maintain curb appeal
- Willingness to provide excellent customer service and assist with storage needs
- Ability to work a full-time schedule (9:30am-6pm; weekends until 5pm) and participate in a rewards/bonus program
- Flexibility to move between multiple locations as part of property management
- Experience in overseeing payments and reminder/collection tasks
