Job Summary
Public Storage is seeking a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to manage multifunction locations, assess customer storage needs, and upsell packing and moving supplies. The role involves auditing cash drawers and processing deposits, handling payments and reminder calls, performing daily storage unit inspections, and traveling between properties (mileage reimbursement provided). The position requires independent work at multiple sites, physical tasks including lifting up to 35 pounds, and outdoor work up to half the time. Full-time schedule with a 9:30am–6pm weekday window (weekends until 5pm) and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, PTO, sick time, and flex spending. Candidates should have experience in customer-service-centered sales environments and possess a valid driver's license with access to a personal vehicle for travel between properties.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in customer service or sales environments (retail, restaurant, fast food, or service-based roles)
- Valid driver's license and ability to use own vehicle to travel between properties
- Ability to transport items weighing up to 35 pounds
- Comfort working outdoors up to 50% of the time and walking around facilities
- willingness to perform daily cash handling activities including auditing cash drawers, bank deposits, and payments
- Ability to perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks and meet physical requirements for the role
