Job Summary
Public Storage is hiring a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to work full-time across multiple locations, evaluating customer storage needs, selling packing and moving supplies, performing daily storage unit inspections, auditing cash drawers and making deposits, and handling payment reminders and collections. The role involves independent work at multiple properties, outdoor and indoor tasks, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, PTO, and more. Requires valid driver’s license and own vehicle for travel between properties; duties include customer service, sales, and maintenance tasks; physical work includes lifting up to 35 pounds and walking outdoors part of the day; schedule includes hours from 9:30am to 6:00pm with weekends until 5:00pm; prior experience in customer-service–oriented sales environments is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle to travel between properties
- Experience in customer service oriented sales environments (retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based)
- Ability to transport/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
- Ability to walk in/around facilities and spend up to 50% outdoors (outdoor environment)
- Strong organizational skills for daily inspections, cash handling, and reminders/collections
- Full-time availability with hours 9:30am–6pm and weekends until 5pm
