Job Summary
Assist customers inside and outside the center with products and services, using smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory. Move and hook up trucks and trailers, then clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels. Answer questions regarding products, prepare rental invoices, and accept returned equipment while installing hitches and trailer wiring. Fill propane and drive a forklift as needed, with certifications provided upon employment. Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University. This role offers on-the-job training and includes a $100 hiring bonus plus a $300 cash bonus for completing the Equipment Inspection and Verification certification.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to work around moving parts or machines
- Must be able to work around fumes or irritant chemicals
- Must be able to wear protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields
- Must be able to remain stationary for long periods
- Must be able to move around indoors and outdoors
- Must be able to position oneself to reach objects at varying heights
- Must be able to move equipment
- Must not use nicotine products
