Job Summary
Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services using smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory. Move and hook up trucks and trailers, then clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels. Answer customer questions, prepare rental invoices, and accept returned equipment while installing hitches and trailer wiring. Drive a forklift and fill propane upon certification. Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University. This role offers on-the-job education, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 bonus for completing the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to move equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to work around moving parts or machines
- Must be able to work with fumes or irritant chemicals
- Must be able to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields
- Must not use nicotine products
