Job Summary
Assist customers inside and outside the center with products and services, using smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory. Move and hook up trucks and trailers, while cleaning and inspecting equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels. Answer product questions, prepare rental invoices, accept returned equipment, and install hitches and trailer wiring. Fill propane and drive a forklift, with certifications offered upon employment. Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University. This role involves moderate physical exertion and requires a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to lift equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to move equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to move around indoors and outdoors
- Must be able to position oneself to reach objects at varying heights
- Must be able to remain stationary for long periods
- Must be able to work around moving parts or machines
- Must be able to work around fumes or irritant chemicals
- Must be able to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields
- Must not use nicotine products
- Must be able to work in a culture of health and wellness
