Job Summary
Customer Service Representative at U-Haul, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Responsibilities include assisting customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services, using smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory, moving and hooking up trucks and trailers, inspecting equipment, answering questions and educating customers, preparing rental invoices and processing returns, installing hitches and trailer wiring, filling propane, and operating a forklift (certification offered after employment). The role includes participating in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University and other company benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers
- Ability to fill propane
- Ability to install hitches and trailer wiring
- Ability to drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment)
- Ability to work in conditions requiring safety precautions (protective gear as needed)
