Job Summary
Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services using U-Scan technology. Move and hook up trucks, clean and inspect equipment on the lot, and answer questions regarding rentals. Prepare invoices, accept returned equipment, and install hitches or trailer wiring. Fill propane and operate a forklift, with certifications offered upon employment. Participate in continuous education through U-Haul University. This role includes moderate physical exertion and requires a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to work around moving parts or machines
- Must be able to work with fumes or irritant chemicals
- Must be able to wear protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields
- Must be able to remain stationary for long periods
- Must be able to move around indoors and outdoors
- Must be able to position oneself to reach objects at varying heights
- Must be able to move equipment
- Must not use nicotine products
