Job Summary
Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services; use smartphone-based U-Scan to manage rentals and inventory; move and hook up trucks and trailers; clean and inspect equipment; answer questions and educate customers about products and services; prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment; install hitches and trailer wiring; fill propane (certification offered upon employment); drive a forklift (certification offered upon employment); participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs (assisted or unassisted)
- Ability to operate or willingness to obtain forklift certification
- Ability to pass background checks or other employment screenings as required
