Job Summary
Operate registers to scan, itemize, and total customer purchases while providing courteous service, greeting visitors, and offering recommendations. Manage cash and inventory during shifts by verifying age-restricted product eligibility, processing payments, and maintaining accurate sales and control records. Maintain store conditions through sweeping, dusting, cleaning equipment, and stocking merchandise in coolers and displays. Prepare food items according to recipes, monitor gasoline competition, and report discrepancies or incidents to the Store Manager. Adhere to company policies, health codes, and government regulations regarding safety, security, and legal obligations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 6 months of experience working in a customer service-oriented position
- Valid AZ driver's license
- Satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs
- Acknowledgment and agreement to maintain a drug-free workplace as a condition of employment
- Strong customer service and professional etiquette skills
- Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, be a self-starter, and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer skills in the use of POS equipment
