Job Summary
Prepare sales orders for carrier tendering by separating orders by region and weight, then research historical manifests to select appropriate carriers. Edit tenders and manifests, coordinate inventory transfers, and respond to carrier communications regarding due dates while updating the ERP system. Act as a liaison between carriers, warehouse, and internal teams to resolve shipping shortages, request Bills of Lading, and verify data accuracy. Additionally, provide receptionist phone coverage and perform general administrative duties including scanning, filing, and documentation management. This temporary role in Vernon, CA supports frozen food manufacturing operations with a possibility of permanent conversion.
Required Qualifications
- Shift: (8:00 AM start required)
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Emotional intelligence and professional phone etiquette
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Computer literacy with strong Excel and ERP (NAV) aptitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
