Job Summary
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing timely and professional support for internal and external clients. Process and manage customer orders, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery while monitoring open orders to expedite shipments and resolve delays. Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, Warehouse, and Suppliers to meet customer needs, maintaining accurate records and utilizing ERP systems. Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the overall customer experience by developing a strong understanding of company products and industry applications. Business hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Standard Electric Supply Co. is a family-owned wholesale distributor of electrical and automation supplies celebrating 106 years of service with 16 locations across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of customer service experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Candidates may work out of our Champaign, IL or Indianapolis, IN location
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree or Bachelor's degree
- 3-4 years of experience in inside sales
