Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you will act as the primary local customer service contact for Northern Air Cargo customers, coordinating inquiries related to cargo acceptance, tracking, delivery coordination, and issue resolution. You will build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders and support local philanthropic efforts. Key responsibilities include monitoring customer feedback, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining accurate records. The position requires a customer-focused mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Local residency in Nome, Alaska required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Three (3) years of customer service, operations, or community-facing experience (aviation, cargo, logistics, or transportation preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate service activities, lead through influence, and resolve customer issues professionally.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and the ability to work a flexible part-time schedule as operationally required.
- Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education in business, aviation, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in air cargo, logistics, transportation, or aviation station operations preferred.
- Experience supporting or coordinating local community events, volunteering, or philanthropic initiatives preferred.
