Customer Service Representative

Job Summary
Greet and register patients and visitors, verify insurance, communicate co-pays and collect payments, schedule/cancel/confirm appointments, process medical record requests, maintain sliding fee scale (SFS) applications and discounts, perform insurance eligibility checks and obtain authorizations, manage phone communications, coordinate with clinical staff for schedule adjustments, maintain accurate records/logs (no-shows, cancellations, reminders), scan/upload documents to the EHR, balance cash drawer and close out at end of day, adhere to organizational policies and No Surprises Act-style Good Faith Estimate requirements, and perform other duties as assigned; requires strong customer service and communication skills, proficiency with computers and office equipment, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance requirements.
