Job Summary
Check in individuals for appointments, schedule and reschedule visits, and collect payment for services. Answer and screen phone calls, take messages, and transfer inquiries to the appropriate department while collaborating with community partners. Update information in medical records, scan documents, and mail letters as needed. This part-time role requires working Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 AM to 5 PM. Candidates must demonstrate a positive attitude, professional ethics, and the ability to work in a person-centered, trauma-informed manner. Bilingual applicants are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Must be professional
- Must be knowledgeable of customer service skills
- Must be Knowledgeable of Medicaid, Medicare, and Private Insurance billing Practices
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years' experience working in a medical office, agency, or hospital with knowledge of scheduling, insurance verification, billing and collections preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Knowledge and experience in performing office duties
- Must be knowledgeable in computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel
