Job Summary
Assist customers with a variety of transactions through a seamless and friendly experience while demonstrating expertise in all store technologies. Defuse customer situations and provide resolution in a timely and effective manner, ensuring the security and privacy of customer information through education and compliance. Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program. Build strong relationships with customers, peers, and leadership while prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role requires continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including lifting items up to 25 pounds. Schedule varies weekly based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- The ability to effectively build relationships with your customers, peers and leadership
- Proficiency in multiple operating systems such as MS Windows, iOS and Android
- Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Accountability, initiative and a high level of ownership
- Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching in order to handle merchandise and assist customers
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, which includes reaching for and lifting these items above the head
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
