Job Summary
Receive telephone, email, fax, or walk-in requests for quotations, orders, and lead-times from domestic customers, OEMs, and distributors. Prepare quotations for standard and non-standard items, write orders, and relay pertinent information to customers and suppliers. Coordinate with other departments to handle purchase orders and provide service and support to the Outside Sales Team. Use ERP systems to retrieve customer and stock information, make changes to purchase orders, and track follow-ups on inquiries. Interface with suppliers on technical, pricing, and delivery issues while addressing customer requests and complaints with a positive approach. Ensure all required documentation is obtained, forwarded, and maintained accurately. Collaborate with appropriate departments to ensure customer satisfaction and develop ideas to improve customer service systems. Adhere to strict safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to ensure that correct codes are used for retrieving and inputting information
- Ability to track and follow up on inquiries, quotations and orders through our ERP systems
- Ability to work closely with suppliers and warehouse expeditors regarding deliveries of scheduled shipments
- Ability to ensure that all required documentation is obtained and forwarded to customer
- Ability to interface with our suppliers on technical, pricing and delivery issues
- Ability to respond to inquiries in a timely manner with good phone selling skills
- Ability to assist accounts receivable with payment and credit hold issues
- Ability to assist in managing supplier relationships
- Ability to generate and maintain accurate required documentation, including quotations
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean and organized work area
- Ability to adhere to strict Safety Guidelines
