Job Summary
Performs routine teller transactions and directly serves clients in person, processing deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, payments, and transfers with accuracy and compliance. Provides exemplary customer service in person and by phone, identifies additional needs, and makes product/service referrals while explaining rates, services, and limitations. Maintains cash balance accuracy, adheres to cash handling policies, reviews transactions for red flags, and supports branch operations including opening/closing procedures. Requires knowledge of banking policies and regulatory guidelines, including BSA/AML compliance, and teaches customers about banking technology (mobile/online). Works on-site in Berkeley, CA and collaborates with team to ensure operational quality and branch integrity.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED required
- 1 year experience in a banking environment preferred
- 1 year in customer service and cash handling experience in a customer facing role required
- excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and customer service
- ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as a team member
