Job Summary
Providing local tax collection and administration services for jurisdictions in multiple states, including processing and reviewing tax returns, forms, applications, and payments; notifying and resolving taxpayer compliance issues; reconciling and reporting tax revenue; analyzing taxpayer data for refunds and potential audits; delivering high-quality customer service to taxpayers, businesses, and the public via phone and email; leveraging Excel, Outlook, and Word to manage data with accuracy. Fresno, CA-based role focusing on lodging and sales/use taxes, with strong emphasis on compliance, data entry, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- Strong computer, clerical, and technical skills with proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage a large call volume
- High level of accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner despite heavy workload and interruptions
- Experience with processing tax forms, applications, and payments (preferred)
