Job Summary

Customer Service Representative in the Behavioral Health department serves as the first client interaction, ensuring warm intake and connecting clients to admission clinicians. Responsibilities include greeting clients, updating EMR with referrals and admissions, coordinating admissions, verifying insurance, handling payment prompts when co-pay/spend-down/sliding scale applies, preparing admission packets, scheduling assessments, transferring clients to clinicians, managing waiting area, and supporting front/back office duties. Must adhere to HIPAA/CFR 42 regulations, maintain confidentiality, and support staff in maintaining EMR accuracy. Strong communication, organizational, and Spanish-language skills are preferred; confidentiality agreement required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher
  • Experience working in healthcare, preferably in front desk or financial departments.
  • Strong communications skills
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively at all levels
  • Computer literate
  • Spanish language ability preferred
