Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY: This role handles new account openings and maintenance, processes teller transactions, and supports cross-selling of Bank products/services while ensuring accurate cash handling and recordkeeping. RESPONSIBILITIES: open and maintain checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, HSA accounts; notarize documents; issue Debit/ATM cards; manage and record deposits and withdrawals; respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues; collaborate with other Bank departments for account-related needs; stay compliant with federal/state regulations and bank policies; meet service objectives; participate in branch operations, including opening/closing and covering other branches; participate in community relations and represent the Bank in the community. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: strong customer service focus, ability to handle cash and verify currency, attention to detail, ability to multitask, ethical conduct and confidentiality, effective communication by phone and in person, proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets, and willingness to engage in cross-selling while delivering excellent service.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 1 to 3 years’ branch banking experience as a teller/head teller and customer service representative OR other customer service experience
- Computer literate, with specific experience in word processing and spreadsheet applications
