Job Summary
Provide prompt, courteous customer service for an insurance administrator, handling Medicare Supplement inquiries, policy status information, and various policy changes. Responsibilities include documenting calls and correspondence, transferring or referring calls as appropriate, processing customer requests per internal procedures, producing customer correspondence, maintaining a complete audit trail in the policy-file system, and handling changes such as Bank Changes, Cancel NR, Death NR, Address Changes, and ID Cards. The role starts fully onsite with potential for hybrid work as proficiency develops, and requires collaboration with supervisors and team members to ensure accurate, efficient service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Insurance background preferred
- Up to 2 years of proven customer support experience
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to adapt and respond to different types of people and tasks
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively and efficiently
