Job Summary
Conduct customer service via email, face-to-face interaction, telephone, and live chat while billing merchandise, accepting payments, and processing commodity deliveries. Manage inventory by running scales, tracking stock, and recording prepayments and bookings. Resolve customer concerns and assist the location manager with maintaining grain, petroleum, feed, and agronomy records. Reconcile end-of-day cash registers and prepare deposits. Maintain a valid driver's license and commercial insurability, with potential CDL and weighing license requirements depending on location. Perform duties requiring moderate to loud noise levels and physical exertion including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Knowledge of grain and inventory software
- Valid driver's license
