Job Summary
Conduct customer service via email, face-to-face interaction, telephone, and live chat while receiving and billing merchandise. Process payments, run scales, track inventory, and record prepayments for commodities. Resolve customer concerns and assist the location manager with maintaining grain, petroleum, feed, and agronomy records. Remove cash, reconcile daily register amounts, and prepare deposits. Maintain knowledge of products and services while adhering to safety requirements including a valid driver's license and commercial insurability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- knowledge of grain and inventory software
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and commercial insurability at all times
- May be required to maintain a valid CDL and commercial insurability by location manager
- May be required to maintain a current weighing license and grain grading certificate
