Job Summary
Conduct regular visits to assigned Home Depot stores to build relationships with store managers, maintain product displays and signage, and resolve customer claims. Serve as the primary point of contact for the region, delivering product knowledge training to associates, monitoring inventory levels, and reporting quality issues. Perform retail pricing surveys, communicate market updates, and represent Mendocino Forest Products at company-sponsored meetings. Maintain accurate records of store visits and merchandising activities while traveling throughout the territory by personal vehicle. Occasional evening and weekend work is required as business needs dictate.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent
- Associate degree or higher education
- Two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Valid driver license
- Ability to perform frequent driving and travel throughout the assigned territory
- Ability to enter and exit a vehicle multiple times per day
- Ability to walk throughout retail stores while inspecting products, displays, and signage
- Ability to stand while conducting store visits, product training, and merchandising activities
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach to stock, organize, and maintain displays and signage
- Ability to climb step stools or ladders in accordance with store safety policies
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull product samples, signage, and merchandising materials weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle products, install signage, operate a computer, tablet, or mobile device, and prepare reports
- Visual acuity to inspect product quality, read labels, pricing, and merchandising materials
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically
- Ability to work around lumber, pallets, and merchandise while following all Home Depot and Mendocino Forest Products safety requirements
- Ability to work in outdoor garden and lumber yard areas exposed to changing weather conditions
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require
