Job Summary
Customer Service Representative (Float) handles opening consumer/business accounts, cross-selling bank products, and serving customers while floating to different branches. Responsibilities include assisting with teller duties as needed, following regulations, meeting branch goals, referring business to subsidiaries, resolving customer concerns, developing customer loyalty, handling referrals, assisting with loan origination/processing, answering product-rate inquiries, providing ancillary services (notary as needed), tracking required documentation, and maintaining a professional, alert work presence. Requires strong banking product knowledge, sales ability, and the capacity to float between locations; relates to a role that supports branch operations and customer onboarding across multiple sites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Sales ability in banking or related field
- General banking product knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and employees
- Mathematical skills for figures, discounts, interest, commissions, percentages and banking calculations
- Ability to perform essential duties including cash handling and customer service in a branch environment
- Notary services may be required as needed
- Proficiency with basic software: 10-Key, Payroll Systems, Word Processing/Typing
- Ability to float between work locations as needed
