Job Summary
Customer Service Representative for CentroMed clinics who serves as the primary contact for patients, handling registration, processing patient requests for healthcare, social services and counseling, coordinating encounter data entry to meet deadlines, and conducting/recording patient financial reviews, billing, and data summaries for program reporting. Requires proficiency with self-pay/insurance charges, eligibility verification, scheduling, and maintaining accurate registration and demographic information. Must be bilingual English/Spanish and demonstrate understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, and CHIP programs, TMHP and Availity tools, with strong interpersonal, clerical, and data-entry skills and a commitment to compliance and quality improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- General experience working in a health care setting
- Experience with medical data entry preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Strong clerical skills (keyboard, basic math)
- Ability to schedule patient appointments
- Experience with insurance programs (Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP) a plus
- Knowledge of encounter data entry and eligibility verification tools (TMHP, Availity)
