Job Summary
Customer Service Representative at a manufacturing company serving defense/aerospace clients. Serves as the primary point of contact for commercial or military/aerospace clients, handling inquiries, orders, and support requests. Manages RFQs/RFPs and contract reviews for defense/aerospace accounts. Processes orders, quotes, and returns using ERP systems. Coordinates with engineering, production, and logistics to ensure timely fulfillment; monitors order status and communicates updates or delays to customers. Maintains detailed records of customer interactions, transactions, and feedback; assists in resolving product quality, delivery, or documentation issues. Supports the sales team with customer data, reporting, and follow-up activities. Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Requires high school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred; 2+ years of manufacturing or defense/aerospace customer service experience; knowledge of ITAR, EAR, DFARS, AS9100, and ISO 9001 is a plus; ERP proficiency (e.g., SAP, Oracle); U.S. citizenship required due to ITAR.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Knowledge of military/aerospace industry standards and terminology (ITAR, EAR, DFARS, AS9100, ISO 9001) is a plus
- U.S. citizenship due to ITAR regulations
