Job Summary
Communicate accurate information on routes, passes, and services while serving as the first point of contact for guests at the retail desk and call center. Handle cash transactions, manage deposits and reporting, and ensure proper supply of route information and promotional materials. Accept customer comments and complaints to ensure resolution and maintain knowledge of company products and upcoming projects. Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and potential rotating Saturday shifts. This role offers opportunities for future leadership responsibilities, including managing daily sales transactions, running monthly reports, and leading the customer service team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in retail, hospitality, customer service or a related field
- Must be okay with working a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Flexible day shift hours starting as early as 7am and 10am to 4pm and 7pm
- potential rotating Saturday shift 9am to 3pm
- Dedicated to excellent attendance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervisor
- Okay with standing and sitting for periods of time and to move intermittently throughout the workday
Desired Qualifications
- some college
- Experience utilizing mass transit, preferably local transit
- Bilingual or ASL experience
- Above average Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Thrive in a fast paced environment with coaching support
- Above average decision making and problem solving abilities
- Must be comfortable interfacing with people in person and via phone
- interested in potential future leadership responsibilities
- Open to taking on more responsibilities over time including managing daily balancing sales transactions, running monthly reports, process purchase orders, leading customer service team in retail center and or call center
