Job Summary
Provide exceptional guest service at a Chevron Station, greeting and assisting customers while accurately handling retail and fuel transactions through multiple payment methods; maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary store environment in accordance with CSI policies and local regulations. Responsibilities include managing the cash drawer and performing cashier reconciliations, promoting store specials and marketing programs, stocking shelves and food/beverage products, monitoring product levels to minimize loss, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation, and adhering to safety procedures. Requires effective communication with customers and coworkers, flexibility to work varied shifts (including mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, holidays), and compliance with age verifications for restricted products where applicable. Prior cooking/restaurant experience is preferred for relevant duties, and food handling certificates may be required in certain locations. The role is a part-time position with no supervisory responsibilities, located at the Santa Ana, CA station, with opportunities for growth within the CSI organization.
Required Qualifications
- Must be sufficiently proficient in English to understand policies, safety training, and job instructions, and to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.
- Must be available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle challenging situations professionally; exercise good judgement.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Must possess up-to-date food handling certificates, as required by law (in specific locations only).
- Cooking/Restaurant experience preferred.
