Job Summary

Customer Service Representative at Border States will support day-to-day Customer Service Team operations to promote sales, obtain orders and provide service to customers, including order entry, expediting, pricing, returns, coordinating deliveries, and follow-up on customer inquiries. The role involves maintaining Open Order and Billing Block reports, participating in marketing/sales activities, assisting with pricing, inventory management, and product evaluations, and coordinating with Customer Financial Services to resolve billing issues. Requires strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, pricing, and purchasing teams; proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office is preferred. The position emphasizes responsive, quality service to meet customer expectations and may involve attendance at meetings or trade shows and development of quotations within company objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a two-year business/trade degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience
  • Minimum of two years of prior customer service, city desk or sales experience with strong knowledge of electrical products and systems preferred
  • Technical ability to understand electrical systems with a minimum of two-years of prior electrical distribution experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English preferred
  • Prefer strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Internet, Email and SAP software
