Job Summary
Customer Service Representative for an apparel manufacturer in Hauppauge, NY. Responsible for serving as the primary contact for customers regarding orders, shipments, product information, and account inquiries; entering and processing orders; coordinating with production, warehouse, and shipping to ensure timely fulfillment; resolving order discrepancies; processing returns/exchanges/credits; maintaining accurate records; assisting sales with account support; generating reports and performing administrative tasks. Requires 2+ years of customer service experience, strong communication/interpersonal skills, organization and multitasking abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel). Experience in apparel/manufacturing or ERP/order management systems is preferred. Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in apparel, textile, fashion, manufacturing, or wholesale industries (preferred)
- Experience with ERP, order management, or inventory systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of EDI, purchase orders, and shipping processes (preferred)
