Job Summary
Communicate with customers via fax, phone, email, and electronic data interfaces regarding orders, shipments, returns, product availability, and complaints. Receive and accurately enter orders from phone, fax, email, and EDI into the database while performing basic order entry and data processing. Schedule freight, coordinate routine shipment activities, and complete DIFOT tracking and reporting. Respond to routine inquiries about order status and shipment updates, verify customer pricing, and escalate non-routine issues to supervisors. Maintain accuracy following established procedures and work instructions while responding to callouts during unscheduled times. Requires a high school diploma or associate degree, zero to two years of customer service experience, and a valid driver's license. Full-time, non-exempt position with competitive pay, health benefits, 401(k) matching, and ESOP participation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree
- Zero to two years of experience in customer service or a related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and advanced software packages
- Valid motor vehicle driver's license
- Basic understanding of the Quality Management System (QMS), company procedures, and standard work instructions
- Ability to perform work that meets established quality standards with only occasional non-critical errors
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and avoid recurring critical errors while following established procedures
