Job Summary
Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services, using smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory. Move and hook up trucks and trailers, clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels, and answer questions regarding products. Prepare rental invoices, accept returned equipment, install hitches and trailer wiring, and fill propane. Drive a forklift and participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University. This role requires a valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record. Schedule is 6am-3pm.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to lift equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to move equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to move around indoors and outdoors
- Must be able to position oneself to reach objects at varying heights
- Must be able to remain stationary for long periods
- Must be able to work around moving parts or machines
- Must be able to work around fumes or irritant chemicals
- Must be able to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields
- Must not use nicotine products
- Must be able to work in Kenmore, Washington
