Job Summary
Assist customers inside and outside the center with products and services using smartphone-based U-Scan technology. Move, hook up, clean, and inspect trucks and trailers, including checking fluid levels and installing hitches. Prepare rental invoices, accept returned equipment, and answer product questions. Drive a forklift and fill propane upon certification. Work the 11am-8pm shift with moderate physical exertion involving moving equipment up to 50 lbs. Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to lift equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to move equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to move around indoors and outdoors
- Must be able to position oneself to reach objects at varying heights
- Must be able to remain stationary for long periods
- Must be able to work around moving parts or machines
- Must be able to work around fumes or irritant chemicals
- Must be able to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields
- Must not use nicotine products
- Must be able to work in a work environment involving moderate risks or discomforts
