Job Summary
Answer inbound calls in a fast-paced insurance call-center setting; build relationships with clients and agents; process payments, billing changes, refunds, and other service requests; handle manual premium payments and loan-by-phone requests; manage SML website inquiries; complete insurance verifications and policy summaries; follow up to request missing items and funds to update policies; maintain records of customer interactions and transactions; 3+ years in customer service with 1+ year of accounting experience preferred; insurance or call-center background required; Spanish language skills a plus; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong written and verbal communication, data entry, attention to detail, and ability to manage a heavy workload with a flexible schedule including occasional overtime; Associate’s degree in business or related field; salary range $19.02-$21.03 per hour; visa sponsorship and relocation assistance not available; EOE.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Customer Service
- Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience preferred
- Experience in an insurance industry or call center environment
- Fluency in Spanish a plus
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent data entry skills
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and organize a heavy workload
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with occasional overtime
- Education Required: Associate’s degree in business or related field
