Job Summary
Maintain medical records and patient information while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with LCDF policies. Provide effective customer service to patients at the assigned clinic and assist with other front office functions. Advocate for a positive patient experience by treating individuals with respect, dignity, and cultural appropriateness. Exercise excellent judgment and time management skills while working well under pressure with minimal supervision. Maintain high-level confidentiality and demonstrate courtesy, respect, and strong communication abilities in both English and Spanish.
Required Qualifications
- bilingual English/Spanish
- Must have excellent phone etiquette
- Must possess excellent time management skills
- High attention to detail with high degree of organization
- Must be self-initiating and adaptable with ability to communicate to a variety of staff members
- Must exercise excellent judgement
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Must be able to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision
- Good organization and analytical abilities
- Exceptionally strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates competency in basic computer skills
- High school graduate or equivalent and/or completion of a medical terminology course
- Ability to work in high stress environment
Desired Qualifications
- One-year experience in a records department preferred
