Job Summary
Customer Service Representative in the Managed Care Department. Responsible for screening non-insured patients, enrolling and guiding customers to obtain care, providing public health coverage enrollment assistance, insurance education, and public health coverage case management. Acts as liaison between clients and clinic, helps patients select a primary care provider, assists with scheduling and identifying additional health services, and supports outreach and promotional campaigns. Maintains activity records and progress reports, advocates for customers regarding barriers to coverage, and aims to maximize access to Managed Care services. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred. Requires High School diploma; an AA/BA in Social Services is preferred. Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintain CPR. Strong emphasis on customer service in a healthcare setting and ability to interpret various instructions; willingness to participate in mandatory trainings and adapt to organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduation
- AA or BA in Social Services is preferred
- At least 1 year of customer service experience (preferably healthcare)
- Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions (written, oral, diagram, schedule)
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintain CPR throughout employment
- Second language highly preferred
