Job Summary
Customer Service Rep for a medical health center role focused on front-desk and clinical-staff support. Responsibilities include greeting clients and visitors, answering phone calls, scheduling and confirming patient appointments, maintaining electronic medical records, verifying insurance information and collecting patient co-pays, and performing basic clerical duties (filing, faxing, scanning, emailing). The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred, knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare and other insurances, strong computer skills, and discretion with confidential information. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Occasional travel to UCFS locations (New London, Colchester, Griswold) is possible, though primary duty location is Norwich, CT.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare and other Insurances
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records
