Job Summary
Operate all equipment, stock ingredients from delivery area to storage and work areas, and prepare products. Receive and process telephone orders and process in-person orders. Clean equipment and the facility daily. Training provided on the job. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and co-workers. Requires basic math and cash handling with ability to use a calculator and enter orders via keyboard or touchscreen. Work environment includes variable temperatures, exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust, and potential for sharp edges and hot surfaces; physical demands include standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other mobility tasks. Consciousness of safety, teamwork, accuracy, and the ability to work under stress and meet quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Ability to add/subtract/multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
- Must be able to make correct monetary change
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen
- Standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying up to 30 pounds, pushing/pulling trays on dollies
