Job Summary
Operate all equipment, stock ingredients from delivery area to storage and walk-in cooler, and prepare products. Receive and process telephone orders while communicating verbally with customers and co-workers. Clean equipment and facility daily, take inventory, and complete associated paperwork. Perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, and meet strict quality control standards. Handle bulk product deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds using a hand truck, carry large cans and pizza dough trays, and navigate stairs or ladders as needed. Work in varying weather conditions and in-store temperatures ranging from 36 to 90 degrees.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
- Must be able to make correct monetary change
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Talking and hearing on telephone
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks
- Depth perception
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
- The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions
- Standing position for most tasks
- Walking surfaces including ceramic tile and linoleum
- Ability to lift bulk product deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to carry large cans weighing 3 pounds 7 ounces
- Ability to carry pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds
- Ability to carry trays of pizza dough weighing approximately 12 pounds per tray
- Ability to push a stack of trays requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force
- Ability to climb stairs or a ladder
- Ability to stoop and bend forward at the waist
- Ability to crouch and squat occasionally
- Ability to reach above 72 inches occasionally
