Job Summary
Delivery driver for Domino's Pizza in Chicago, IL. Operates all required equipment, stocks ingredients from delivery area to storage and work area, prepares product, receives and processes telephone orders, takes inventory and completes associated paperwork, and cleans equipment and facility daily. Delivers product by car to customers within designated delivery area, uses navigation/map skills to locate addresses, and may handle monetary transactions and provide verbal/written customer service. Requires 18+ years old, a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle for delivery, ability to navigate maps and addresses (including multi-story buildings), strong communication and organizational skills, and physical ability for standing, walking, lifting, and other delivery duties. Training is provided on the job, with opportunities for advancement from delivery driver toward management roles over time.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- access to an insured vehicle for delivery
- navigation skills to read a map and locate addresses
- ability to read, write, and comprehend written instructions
- verbal and customer-service communication skills
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly
- ability to enter orders using a computer or touch screen
- physical ability to perform delivery tasks (carrying, lifting, walking, etc.)
- ability to work in varying weather conditions
- ability to work with customers and co-workers to process orders
