Job Summary
The Customer Account Specialist acts as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing order processing from receipt through delivery, and ensuring timely and accurate communication across departments to support customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include acting as the primary contact for inquiries about orders, shipments, and product availability; maintaining positive relationships with customers; collaborating with production, quality control, and logistics to meet requirements; maintaining accurate records and generating periodic reports on order status and inventory needs; identifying and resolving order-related issues, escalating as needed; participating in customer meetings and production planning sessions; supporting continuous improvement of customer service processes; and assisting with new account onboarding. A Bachelor's degree (preferred) or relevant experience, 1-3 years in a manufacturing or co-manufacturing environment (preferred), and proficiency with ERP/order management systems are desired.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field (Preferred) or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 1-3 years customer account experience in a manufacturing or co-manufacturing environment (Preferred)
- Experience with ERP or order management systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with focus on customer relationships
- Ability to manage order details accurately and provide timely updates to avoid delays
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues, root causes, and implement solutions
- Time management and organizational skills to balance multiple accounts and orders
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to support order fulfillment
- Ability to create and analyze reports for account management and process improvement
