Job Summary
Provide patient account support by resolving billing questions and advising on crediting of accounts; document activity on patient accounts; contact self-pay accounts about assistance programs; prepare collection and Medicare bad debt reports; verify, correct, and submit documentation with final bills; extend and enforce hospital/medical group credit terms based on payment history and balances; file claims through the court system; process mail and patient requests; handle inbound calls and monitor AR reports to keep receivables optimized; requires high school education and healthcare billing/customer service experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum: High-School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum: One (1) year within hospital and/or medical billing office with experience in customer service both on the phone and in person.
