Job Summary
Greet customers as they enter the store in a friendly manner, handle merchandise with care, and provide information and direction. Secure all firearms with trigger locks, check in vendor representatives, and complete visitor log information. Process customer returns, complete refund and exchange paperwork, and sort returns by category. Sell Hunting and Fishing Licenses, administer incentive and reward programs, and promote CLUB Membership and In-Store Pick-up. Identify customer needs to make product recommendations and assist with buying decisions. Maintain a clean, neat, and well-stocked work area while following all company policies. Operate the computerized Point of Sale register system and calculate figures for discounts and change.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
- Must be able to constantly stand and/or walk during shift
- Must be able to constantly communicate with others to exchange information
- Must be able to constantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Must be able to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Must be able to occasionally work in low or high temperatures
- Must be able to occasionally work in noisy environments
- Must be able to light work that includes constantly lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)
- Must be able to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation
- Must be able to choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems
- Must be able to make occasional independent judgment to complete work assignments
- Must be able to often make recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices
