Job Summary
Take orders, prepare and deliver food, handle cash and credit cards, balance the cash drawer, stock products, buss tables, wash dishes, clean with chemicals, and perform basic maintenance. Use equipment including telephones, cash registers, POS stations, knives, meat slicers, and dishwashing machines while standing, bending, reaching, and lifting heavy objects for extensive periods. Maintain regular, predictable attendance and follow directions in a fast-paced environment with temperature fluctuations. Complete applicable reports as necessary and adhere to company uniform standards. This role supports customer hospitality and proper deli operations, with performance evaluated on an ongoing basis.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 15 years of age or older to apply
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English effectively
- Must have basic memorization skills (ie: ability to memorize menu abbreviations if necessary)
- Must display strong inter-personal skills such as, but not limited to, smile/positive demeanor, energetic, patient, good listener, passionate and committed to serving customers, must make good eye contact, must display basic manners (“Sir,” “Ma’am,” “thank you”), must display good common sense skills
- Must dress for success, be well groomed and in a crisp and clean uniform standards
- Ability to adhere to company's current uniform standards policy
- An applicant who is currently infected with or has knowledge that he/she is currently infected with a communicable disease which has been determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services as one which is transmissible to the public through the handling of food will not be considered a qualified applicant
- An applicant must comply with the applicable city of Department of Health regulations as well as Jason's Deli dress code policies
