Job Summary
Conduct daily sales floor operations including re-merchandising, straightening, and ensuring the store remains runway ready. Assist customers with cashiering across in-store, online, and mobile platforms while operating point-of-sale systems and handling bulky items. Support fitting room experiences by greeting guests and sorting clothing, and maintain organized stockrooms by checking in and ticketing merchandise. Receive, unload, and deliver freight; fulfill customer orders following quality standards using inventory management systems. Adhere to operational and asset protection standards while promoting the Nordstrom Rewards program. Work a flexible schedule with continuous movement for 6-8 hours, lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Required Qualifications

- Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift

- Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items
- Reaching for and lifting items above the head
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds
- Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms (in-store, online and mobile)
- Operating a point-of-sale system
- Bagging items of all size
- Handling bulky sometimes heavy items including boxes
- Ensure a seamless and friendly experience
- Create a smooth fitting room experience
- Greeting and assisting customers
- Sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- Keep the stockrooms organized

- Unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer's orders following quality, packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments
- Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
