Job Summary
Customer Service Operator at Tennessee Oncology providing medical office support by handling multiple incoming calls, routing to appropriate personnel, and managing messages. Responsibilities include answering calls promptly and professionally, routing messages, following SOPs, greeting patients/visitors, distributing simple outbound correspondence or copies of records, maintaining patient confidentiality, and supporting physicians and clinical staff. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint; able to operate multi-line phone systems; communicate clearly with callers and patients; remain calm with irate callers; multi-task in a fast-paced office; demonstrate excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience operating multiple telephone lines/switchboard/console
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to use and manage multi-line phone systems
- Strong communication and confidentiality skills
